Who wants to get married in November?

I just had a cancellation for November 15, 2008. If you have previously called to check on that date it is now available! It is one of the few Saturdays I have left open for 08 so get it while it’s hot! I have a few fun updates I’ll be posting later this week so stay tuned.

Poor Luke, he was tired and hungry, I don’t think he’s a big fan of my blog. :)

Love Addict (Day 2)

Today was even more fun that day 1. (Which means I should explode with happy goodness at the end of day 3.) We once again spent some time learning “in class” then headed out to shoot. This time we got some fake brides! Well, most people got fake brides. My parter and I got the only real bride to be in the whole bunch. Kasey was so great to shoot. Her wedding in 2 weeks away and she was so brave to take her dress out around town for us. She was totally up for anything and we got some amazing shots. Here are a few of mine. Stay tuned tomorrow for the goodies from Day 3.

Here is a shot of all the “brides” as we were finishing up.

Here is a great one of Lissa Anglin trying her hardest to get the shot. (take a look at her website and see her great work.)

Towards the end the girls started having too much fun. I kinda think we got the raw end of the deal, but oh well.

Another shot of everyone hard at work.

Love Addict (Day 1)

So, If anyone is trying to get a hold of me this week it may be a bit harder than usual.  I am at a photography workshop learning all kinds of new neat tricks.  We had some models come in and we got to take pictures of them as we practiced our new tricks.  I will be posting more images as the week goes on but for now here are a few from the first day.

Lauren & Josh

Beautiful weddings happen every weekend. Relaxed wedding happen every weekend. Big family wedding happen every weekend. It is very rare to get all three in one. Lauren & Josh pulled it off. This wedding was so laid back, yet every detail was taken care of. One of the things that really helped the day go smoothly was them doing all their photos before hand. This helped them get those “jitters” out of the way and also allowed them to have some great one on one time together. (Something that many couples do not get on their wedding day.) Anyway, here are some shots from the day.

I LOVE it when couples give each other wedding day notes. (It’s one of the few things I wish my wife and I had done on our wedding day.)

They had the church looking very nice.

I am not sure who was more excited. Josh seeing Lauren for the first time, or Lauren’s sister seeing Lauren see Josh for the first time. :)

These two got plenty of flirt going before the wedding. I loved it.

Josh gave all the groomsmen watches. Then they pretended they were Power Rangers.

Chez Bazan did the catering and provided some super moist cakes.

Luke’s Birthday

Well time flies and Luke turned 1 last weekend. I took a break from shooting weddings and got to shoot a birthday party. We just gave him 1 cupcake, but sometime I’ll post the photos from the day before when we baked him a whole cake and let him plow into it. Here are a few from the party.

Danielle makes the best cakes.

How cool are these party favor boxes we found?

Our oldest. I’m pretty sure he’s going to grow up and play in the NFL.

Luke spent most of the day hiding from all the people.

I think he was upset because he got 1 small cupcake and not a whole cake like the day before. He just looked at it as if to say “What am I supposed to do with this tiny thing?”

Jo showing off some crazy jumping kick move. (In the past 2 weeks he has discovered “fixing his hair” I’m going to have to post some shots of him getting his gel and hairspray groove on.)

Kelli & Stephen

I drove up to Longview for this session and as I was pulling into town it started to rain, we didn’t really have a back up and with only a month to go to the wedding putting the session off was not an option. But, jumping into a nearby bistro and shooting in a parking garage was! We had a blast and it eventually stopped raining later and we got some great shots.

I loved the ceiling in this place, all the tile had fallen off, but the sticky stuff was still there.

This kiss was totally Kelli, sometime I have to encourage couples to flirt a bit and interact, but after about 10 minutes these two were just great.

I loved all Stephen’s bracelets, rings, and paraphernalia, and I loved that Kelly didn’t make him take it off for the session.

You guys were too much fun, see you soon!

Brandi & Keith

Brandi and Keith had a great wedding, My favorite part was seeing the “clash” of cultures, He is from Boston, she is from Oakwood, all you had to do was close your eyes and listen and you could figure out which side to seat each guest on. :) Every little detail was taken care of and the day went off without great.

How cute is this flower girl?

It’s always a good sign when the bride cheers on her way out of the church.

They had a balloon send off before we headed to the reception.

The cakes were great…

…I especially liked Keith’s

Quite a bit of bling. Very fun.

I loved this shot of Brandi’s mom and brother watching her dance with her father.

Needless to say, everyone had a good time.
